Do you want a career as a professional makeup artist? This course has been designed for complete beginners and for anyone who wants career as a professional makeup artist. The Master Program covers all areas of makeup and will open you up to the most job opportunities available to you as an artist.

What will I learn?

The program will teach you how to become a freelance artist. There will be x3 portfolio shoots throughout the program to help you to develop your business and client base. In depth demos from all of your educators for each part of the syllabus. All equipment, products and handouts are provided throughout the program. You will learn how to set up your business as a freelance makeup artist and how to master social media with your new career.

CLASS 1 - HYGIENE + SKIN ANALYSIS

Skin Analysis – Uncovering skin tones, skin textures, and best finishes in products to complement the client’s complexion.
Correcting & Concealing – Discuss the principles of color theory to achieve appropriate corrective shades for clients.
Skin Matching – Understand tones vs. undertones, master foundation and concealer matching, and learn how to mix formulas professionally to create seamless custom shades.

CLASS 2 - SOFT GLAM/SMOKEY EYES & EVENT MAKEUP

Client Consultation & Professional Etiquette – Learn how to conduct an effective consultation, set expectations, and create a smooth, professional experience for clients who book you for events.
Eye & Feature Enhancement – Practice eye-shaping techniques, and refined contour/highlight placement to define features while preserving natural beauty.
Long-Wear Event Technique – Master product layering, texture control, and advanced setting methods to achieve a long-lasting, photo-ready finish suitable for weddings, parties, and special occasions.
Strip Lash Application – Learn how to trim, customize, and apply strip lashes to complement the eye look and elevate the overall glam.

CLASS 3 - BRIDAL SKIN & BUSINESS OF BRIDAL

Intro to Bridal Business – Understand the essentials of working with brides, from client consultations, trials, contracts and expectations to professional etiquette and workflow on the wedding day.
Bridal Skin – Learn how to create flawless, long-lasting bridal skin using preparation, correcting, and foundation techniques suited for photography and all-day wear.

CLASS 4 - BRIDAL MAKEUP & KIT BUILDING

Full bridal demo and practice – Learn trending bridal looks. Includes bridesmaids and mother of the bride.
Individual Lash Application – Understand how to customize and apply individual lashes to create a tailored, long-lasting look for bridal clients
Bridal Kit Essentials – Review the core products, tools, and hygiene items needed to build a reliable and efficient bridal makeup kit

CLASS 5 - WINGED LINER & BOLD RED LIP

Winged Liner Techniques – Learn how to map, sketch, and execute a perfect wing using gels, liquids, and pencils. Understand eye anatomy, symmetry, and troubleshooting techniques to achieve crisp, balanced lines on any eye type.
Precision Lip Application – Explore the fundamentals of shaping, defining, and sculpting the lips for bold red looks. Practice undertone selection, lip mapping, and long-wear techniques to create a clean, impactful finish.

CLASS 6 - COLOR THEORY

Color Theory Understanding color theory is an essential for all makeup artists. Taking a deep dive into the world of undertones, primary colors and understanding the color wheel. Learning the relationship between the 12 colors shown on the wheel. It also explains, in simple terms, how to mix color and create new ones.

CLASS 7 - FACE SCULPTING & BROWS

Advanced Contouring & Highlighting – Learn refined placement, product selection, and sculpting techniques tailored to different face and eye shapes, creating anything from soft definition to bold evening structure.
Proportion & the Golden Ratio – Understand facial balance and symmetry to enhance features with precision.
Brow Design Techniques – Practice multiple brow styles—laminated, fluffy, defined—and learn mapping and shaping for customized results.

CLASS 8 - RED CARPET & CELEBRITY

Red Carpet Techniques – Learn elevated skin prep, luxury tools, facial massage, and long-wear glam designed for high-profile events and flash photography.
Celebrity Workflow & Etiquette – Understand how to navigate celebrity environments, manage expectations, maintain discretion, and deliver a seamless, premium client experience.

CLASS 9 - ETHNIC & SOUTH ASIAN BRIDAL

Contemporary South Asian Bridal Trends – Learn modern makeup styles inspired by today’s South Asian brides, focusing on vibrant color harmony, defined eyes, radiant skin, and long-wear techniques suited for multi-event celebrations.

Modern Application Techniques – Practice fresh, contemporary bridal looks with emphasis on balanced glam, precise detailing, and product choices that photograph beautifully across different lighting and jewelry elements.

CLASS 10 - HALO EYES + WET LOOK

Halo Eyes – Learn how to create depth, dimension, and a rounder eye shape using the Halo Eye technique, elevating it into an Extreme High Glam style suitable for high-impact beauty.
Wet Look Finish – Combine advanced eye and skin techniques to achieve a cohesive, high-shine wet look using professional products for a polished, showstopping result.

CLASS 12 - EDITORIAL MAKEUP

Concept Development – Learn how to translate references, themes, and creative direction into a cohesive editorial concept.
Texture, Color & Shape Exploration – Experiment with unconventional textures, bold color placement, and sculptural shapes. Develop an artist’s eye for balance, negative space, and visual impact in high-fashion beauty.
On-Set Workflow & Collaboration – Gain practical knowledge on working with photographers, stylists, and creative teams.
Refinement for Camera – Understand how editorial makeup reads in close-up beauty work. Practice precision detailing, controlled imperfection, and techniques that elevate the look.

CLASS 13 - PHOTOSHOOT CREATION DAY

Learn to conceptualize and design a complete makeup look for a photoshoot, interpret the call sheet, and navigate on-set workflow and professional etiquette. Practice your look in advance and receive guidance, corrections, and enhancements on site. This class prepares students for their first experience working with a professional photographer.

CLASS 14 - PHOTOSHOOT DAY

Makeup on Set: Students bring a model and execute a complete, concept-driven makeup look with on-site guidance and technical correction from the instructor.
Work with a Professional Photographer: A professional photographer leads the shoot, providing an authentic on-set experience with expert direction in lighting, posing, and beauty composition.
Start Your Portfolio: Each student receives three professionally retouched images to elevate and begin building their makeup portfolio.

CLASS 15 - AIRBRUSHING + MATURE SKIN

Airbrushing Mastery – Understand airbrush equipment, proper cleaning, and techniques to create flawless, dimensional skin, including blush, contour, and shading for a polished result.

Mature Skin Techniques – Learn how to enhance mature skin with the right textures, placements, and application methods for a natural, flattering finish.

CLASS 16 -GRAPHIC LINERS

Master the art of bold, editorial graphic liners by focusing on precision, symmetry, and clean lines. Practice advanced techniques to create intricate, high-impact designs with sharp edges and detailed placements, perfect for editorial and creative looks.

CLASS 17 - MOODBOARDS + STORY TELLING

Learn how to translate mood boards into a cohesive visual narrative for fashion and editorial projects. Understand how to plan, sequence, and execute makeup looks that align with the creative concept and tell a compelling story on set.

CLASS 18 - RUNWAY

Learn to create runway-ready skin and high-fashion makeup, focusing on conceptual storytelling and techniques that translate seamlessly on the catwalk or for editorial shoots.

CLASS 19 - BUSINESS MASTERY

Business Foundations – Learn how to establish and manage your makeup business, including contracts, website setup, bookkeeping, portfolio development, and client management, and building an LLC. Discuss how to turn leads into clients, build a contract and plan your next steps into the different fields of Makeup Artistry.
Social Media Workshop – Gain practical skills in photography, lighting, and content creation to produce polished, Instagram-worthy images that showcase your work and grow your brand.

CLASS 20 - HAIR STYLING

Learn the basics of hairstyling. As a makeup artist learning these techniques increases your chances of getting booked.

CLASS 21 - SFX CUTS, BRUISES & BULLET WOUNDS

Foundations of Special Effects Makeup – Learn about essential SFX products, tools, and techniques, with an emphasis on proper sanitation, health, and safety. Study real-world examples through case studies to understand practical applications.

Practical Latex Techniques – Learn to create realistic injuries including bruises, third-degree cuts, bullet wounds, road rash, burns, and sunburn using latex and professional SFX tools. Emphasis on texture, color blending, and lifelike effects.

CLASS 22 - PROSTHETICS + SFX WORKING WITH STORYLINES

Prosthetic Techniques – Learn professional prosthetic application, proper use of adhesives, creating peeling blisters, and integrating prosthetics with beards and teeth for realistic special effects.
Film Set Application & Script-Based Design – Learn how to interpret scripts and create SFX looks that align with a storyline. Apply all techniques learned to produce cohesive, realistic effects suitable for professional film environments.

CLASS 23 - OLD AGE MAKEUP & BALD CAPPING

Learn professional techniques to create realistic aging effects, including wrinkles, aged skin on the face, neck, and hands, aging eyes, hair aging, and bald cap application. Focus on texture, shading, and lifelike detail.

CLASS 24 - SFX CREATING A CHARACTER

Character Design & Application – Learn to create a complete zombie character using paints, sponges, latex, and professional SFX techniques. Focus on building texture, depth, and realism for a fully developed look.

CLASS 25: FINAL PORTFOLIO SHOOT & PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT

Editorial Shoot: Execute a complete makeup look on a model and collaborate with a professional photographer to create portfolio-ready images. This class functions as the final exam, allowing students to demonstrate their full skill set.

Pro Headshot: Graduates will also receive a professional makeup artist headshot to elevate their portfolio and jumpstart their business presence and personal brand.

Portfolio Shoot

PORTFOLIO PHOTOSHOOTS

All students receive an exciting opportunity to have a Portfolio Shoot on all of our programs. You will learn how to work behind the scenes as a makeup artist with one of our inhouse photographers. You will be creating a set of professional photos of your finished makeup looks putting your skills to use from everything you have learnt on the programs. You can use the photos to show new and up and coming clients for your social media/ website etc. Having a portfolio of images will increase your chances of getting booked as a makeup artist.
